Jason Tillema
Jason Tillema is a Certified Residential Appraiser (SRA, AI-RRS, ASA, IFA, AQB Certified USPAP Instructor) with 28+ years of experience. As co-owner of Access Valuation, he operates the residential appraisal practice and specializes in complex and high-value. As co-owner of Education Resources, LLC, he has developed and delivered more than 50 CE courses to real estate appraisers and brokers. He currently serves as Chair of the Appraisal Institute's Residential Appraiser Committee.
Jason combines deep expertise in appraisal methodology, market analysis, and cost approach valuation with hands-on experience implementing AI tools in production workflows. A four-time speaker at the ASA International Conference and presenter at the 2026 AI Annual Conference, he regularly contributes to national industry conversations on technology adoption, responsible AI use, maintaining professional judgment in an AI-driven future, developing and supporting residential appraisers, and developing and analyzing residential market analyses.
This session demonstrates how appraisers can use AI tools inside familiar platforms like Excel to improve workflow efficiency, research organization, analysis, and communication, while still keeping professional judgment central to the appraisal process.
